Mission
The Department of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Communications is dedicated to providing students with the basics necessary to develop interdisciplinary investigation. This includes the study of: languages, literature, gender, ethics, production and distribution of goods and services, critical analysis, as well as historical and global perspectives.
Department Goals
To design and deliver courses to students which are transferable to four year college/university programs
To provide instruction that develops the ability to critically analyse ideas
Presented in written and verbal forms
To aid in the development of research skills
To provide instruction that ensures the ability to write coherently.
To offer instruction in two romance languages which will endow the student with the fundamentals of communication in the chosen language.
