Overview
The Robert Mathavious Institute (RMI) is a centre of excellence in education and training in the financial services industry. The RMI is the only professional qualification centre in the British Virgin Islands that presents internationally recognised professional qualifications through programmes relevant to the financial services industry.

ACCA Courses
The RMI is an ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) Approved Learning Partner, as well an ACCA Approved CBE centre. ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) is the global body for professional accountants.

FinTech Courses
The BVI FinTech Training Programme is a collaborative project of the H. Lavity Stoutt Community College: Robert Mathavious Institute for Financial Services, the National University Singapore: School of Computing (FinTech Lab and Strategic Technology Management Institute), BVI Finance, Ltd, and the Government of Virgin Islands: Ministry of Education, Culture, Youth Affairs, Fisheries and Agriculture. It is designed to nurture the FinTech ecosystem in the BVI by developing a cadre of certified FinTech professionals. Students who enroll in the programme will complete a “coursework phase” that features four intensive courses on the fundamentals of FinTech, business and related programming concepts, and a “project phase” that involves the practical implementation of a FinTech project in a local partnering firm.
