ASSOCIATE OF SCIENCE
This Associate Degree in Mathematics can be the first half of an equation that adds up to a four-year mathematics Bachelor’s degree. It is intended for students who enjoy Mathematics and wish to get a solid foundation in the core areas of Mathematics. Emphasis is on developing computational and applied problem-solving skills rather than mathematical theory. Students who transfer to four-year colleges or universities can pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics or in areas that rely heavily on Mathematics such as Engineering, Actuarial Science, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or Mathematics Education.
