Overview
The Centre for Applied Marine Studies (CAMS) embraces a Blue Economy approach to marine education. Through the Department of Marine & Maritime Studies, the centre offers A.S. and certificate programmes in Applied Marine Studies (Marine Service Technology). The centre also offers specialised courses/workshops for professional mariners and new-to-industry individuals seeking work in the yachting, ferry, shipping and boating industries. Through its Mangrove Nursery & Coastal Resilience Laboratory, the centre offers community outreach activities and supports research, education, and practical applications related to coastal and marine environmental conservation, restoration and management.
